I just LOVE my Silhouette! I got it last fall and I have used it quite a bit. I use it for Primary handouts, holiday decorations like leprechaun footprints and a Easter banner, tags on Christmas gifts for neighbors, card-making, lettering and shapes for decorating posters, birthday party invites, all kinds of things. Last weekend I used it to make these little toppers to label brownies for a lunch after my cousin's baptism. So cute and easy! And I haven't even ventured into all the many other ways to use it-- like vinyl, rhinstones on fabric, heat transfers, temporary tattoos.... it's a long list!
I really like that I can buy my shapes online, one at a time, whenever I want. So many of my projects are late at night or spur of the moment, so it's really nice not to have to go to a craft store to pick up a cartridge, and I like only paying for the shapes I want (usually 99 cents a shape, sometimes there are sales). I also like that I can manipulate the shapes on a computer program and alter them however I like. So versatile. It's been a lot of fun.
More information on the machine is
here . A spec comparison between the Cricut and the Silhouette is
here (I always get that question). And
here is the website for the shop where I bought mine. They had the best deal at the time, and it was nice to go pick it up and not pay for shipping.

I totally want one. Aaah, someday!
I recently got one and have used it for a few fun things. I'm always looking for more fun things to do with it, though!
