Sunday was our last family dinner all together (for this year, at least!) at Kissie and Pata's house. We took a walk around Temple Square afterward.
Monday afternoon Keyton and Liz came over to stay a couple of nights on their way to New Mexico. The kids had so much fun together! It was a great last hurrah of together time.
Keyton filled up 100 water balloons one night and another 100 the next night. Labor of love! They all had so much fun with them.
One water balloon amazingly landed in the narrow herb garden, and sprayed the whole patio with wet dirt, including Chase! He was a bit bewildered.
Especially after Liz hosed him off!
We headed to Herriman beach for some swim time. It was warm and not busy-- perfect FHE! Kevin was working hard to gain favorite uncle status and played a lot of shark in the water with the kids.
They worked hard at sand castles, moats, burying each other, and warm pools too.
And we ended with klondike bars in the front yard. Evelyn was so tired, when her icecream melted on her she about had a meltdown too!
Tuesday we left Chase and Evelyn with Keyton and Kevin (while they napped and watched a World Cup game). We went to the dinosaur museum at Thanksgiving Point. No crowds and no strollers-- such freedom! The kids spent more time at the hands-on exhibits than they ever have before-- longer attention spans and more fun with friends I bet.
Group excavation!
And of course, more ice-cream after dinner and the park!
They left Wednesday after lunch for New Mexico to see Liz's family and wait for a paperwork glitch to be resolved. Such a fun 4.5 weeks of family time!
