Pre-party... the excitement was building up all morning! Kevin came home from work to help and watch. Kissie came over early to help with final preparations.

The first guests arriving...

We started off decorating foam crowns while all 10 little princesses arrived.

Then the games! We did a Princess Walk (aka cake walk). The winner was the princess on Cinderella's picture when the music stopped, with each girl getting some lip gloss when they won.

Pin the Kiss on the Frog, with little princess fruit snack prizes to add to their goodie bag at the end.

Next was Find Cinderella's Lost Slipper. Kevin hid their shoes while we were playing the other game and they had to find them, and there was a little glass slipper inside. This game brought on unexpected issues as some of the girls were wearing the same kind of princess shoes :).
Last, we read the story of the Princess and the Pea, and the girls had to close their eyes while we hid peas (bouncy balls) under some of their mattresses (throw pillows) so they could find out if they were a real princess and could feel the bumps. Of course, they all were by the end of the game and added a princess bouncy ball to their bags.

We sang Happy Birthday and ate cupcakes... which they all ate until one little girl said she didn't like it, and then all the others said they didn't like it either... even if they ate it all :).

It was pretty cute to watch the girls while Cora opened her presents. They were all excited and excited for her, but so polite. I was impressed!

10 little princesses... Cora sure is lucky to have made some cute friends in our neighborhood and ward this year! And so lucky that some of her cousins could come too!

My mom had lent us her bouncy house, so we topped the party off with a session of bouncing princesses. It was pretty hot, but I think they still had a fun time. We missed the shot of the 10 princesses running out of our house and standing in line to get in and bounce... but got some other great ones.

And a nice video of some of the princesses sliding out.
We sent them home with their prize bags, a magic wand,

and a ponytail holder.

Due to some major meltdowns we almost didn't get to accept Kissie's post-party lunch offer, but luckily Cora and Violet wanted a cookie badly enough to put on their happy faces and we had some yummy sandwiches.
Birthday party aftermath....

That's a lot of excitement for a newly-turned 4 year old princess! We all had a nice afternoon quiet time that day.

It looks like so much fun! Great job on the party! I love the picture of Cora with her cupcake in front of her- she is beautiful. And I'll have to try those pink lemonade cupcakes- sound delish!
Her party decorations looked SO cute, you did a great job. The wands & hair ties were really cute. Sounds like Cora had a wonderful first friend birthday party.
What a fun party! Lucky Cora!
I love it! I am planning a little princess camp for later this year and you have given me some EXCELLENT ideas! Thank you!
Looks like a great time. You're so creative!
Holy cow! What a party! I love all the decorations! Happy Birthday Cora!
It sounds like the party was a big hit! Happy Birthday, Cora!
As for tips on sharing a room, the things I could tell you you're probably already doing. But for us, one thing that works is giving them different bedtimes if we can tell that one isn't going to go to sleep very easily (usually that means Avery goes down first and then a half hour later or so we do all of Sophie's bedtime stuff in another room and then slip her into her bed without a sound). If they've both had a long day and are tired enough, we do the bedtime routine with both of them in their room and they really do go to sleep well together. We also give ourselves the option of putting one in another room if they continue to stay up playing or keep coming out. It's not worth the battle when it's that late at night, and it really hasn't happened very often, but instead of trying to force it to work, we just separate them and then try again the next night. I don't know if any of that is helpful, and I'll write more later if I think of anything else that has worked, but good luck! To both of us!
