The highlight of our Fourth of July weekend was Violet's baby blessing. It was such a neat Sunday to have all our family together to celebrate her birth! Thanks to all who helped with the blessing, the food, the clean-up and for making it special for us by being there. We recorded the blessing on my MP3 player, now I just need to transcribe it for her baby book.
Cora all ready for church. The girls wore the matching dresses they'll be wearing at Kurt and Jen's wedding this week. Violet is 6 weeks older (and a bit further up the growth charts) than Cora, so we didn't end up using the blessing dress from Italy. But now Violet will have her own dress to use for her girls if she wants. We took tons of family pictures of all combinations before church, here are a few of my favorites.

Isn't this picture precious? It's my paternal grandmother with Violet. My grandma and grandpa were so sweet to come down from Blackfoot for the day to be at the blessing.

The whole gang after church and before lunch. We had quite the party going on at our house! It was so fun to have everyone around. We loved it! And the extra space in the basement came in handy too when it started raining right when church let out. It didn't rain for long though, and it cooled off enough outside to be very pleasant afterwards.
The men who participated in Violet's blessing: My Uncle John, Shad, my dad, Kevin, Kevin's dad, and three of my cousins' husbands--Travis, Brian, and Doug.
Thanks everyone for your love and support! We are grateful to be close friends with our family members.

Thanks for letting us be a part of your busy and exciting weekend! We live so close to you guys but just don't get to see you as often as I wish we could. Your girls are beautiful and that's so exciting that Violet's already rolling both directions. Next time you have a full house, please send your parents to stay at our house. We don't have a pool, but our door is always open to them!
Love, Katrina
I LOVE all these pictures! We are so sad we couldn't be there. Living far away really really stinks sometimes. I especially love the ones with Cora and your grandma- so so cute! What a treasure!
Violet and Cora look so cute in all these pictures! You guys make a cute family. We had a lot of fun spending the weekend with you guys, thanks again for everything.
Those dresses are adorable. So fun to have your family together, those are always special times. Abbee was here this week and I told her that you have 2 little girls. She says "Hi"
